In order to reduce hydro unit maintenance costs, facilitate remote operation and automation, or to improve generator efficiency and reliability, REGENCO is pleased to offer:

A Unique Conversion to a Brushless Exciter:

• Maintains the existing main exciter housing, frame and shaft; therefore, no changes are required to the existing generator housing, power house floor or rotor coupling

• Eliminates all commutators, pilot exciters, brushes, brush holders and slip rings

• Reduces the overall size of the excitation system

• A robust rotating rectifier module with surge protection is provided

• All new internal excitation components
